With the IRS extending the filing deadline an extra day, there’s a workaround for those of you filing extensions and requesting a direct debit for your client’s tax due.
On this screen in the e-filing steps, it will default to today’s date of 04/18/2018, but it will need to be updated to 04/17/2018 in order to pass alerts and be e-filed. The IRS is accepting returns with yesterday’s date.
