New Requirement: Must Have Latest Version to e-file Returns
Starting with version 1.01 of all TaxAct Professional Editions (available on 1/15/2019), you will be required to update your federal and state software to the most current version prior to e-filing returns. This ensures returns are e-filed with accurate calculations and meet all compliance requirements.
When selecting which federal and/or state returns to e-file, you will be prompted if any require an update before continuing.

IRS Announces Filing Season Open Dates
The IRS has announced the filing season will officially open on Monday, January 28. At that time, the IRS will start processing all submitted returns and providing acknowledgements.
We will begin Controlled Launch testing with the IRS today and continue over the next two weeks. This involves sending batches of submitted e-filed returns for processing. We cannot guarantee which returns will be sent, however if your e-filed returns fall into this testing, you will see acknowledgements for those returns.
