Version 1.0 is now available for all TaxAct 2019 Professional Federal Editions This updated includes:

  • E-filing for the following:
    • 1040 Federal
    • 1065 Federal
    • 1120 Federal
    • 1120S Federal
    • 1041 Federal

Note: The IRS has not yet announced when they will open for tax year 2019. Any returns submitted will be held until the IRS starts processing. In addition, the IRS has not yet released final versions of the 8879 forms for 1040, 1065, or 1120S. The versions of these forms currently available are updated for 2019 based on the latest draft available from the IRS. They are available to you to print and use, but will have a “DO NOT FILE” watermark until we have updated final forms form the IRS.

  • Printing for the following main forms:
    • 1040 Federal
    • 1065 Federal
    • 1120 Federal
    • 1120S Federal
    • 1041 Federal
    • 990 Federal

Note: Not all federal forms are finalized and/or approved (including those related to the recently passed tax extender & disaster-related provisions), so not all returns can be printed or filed at this time.

  • Fixed an issue with Appointment Manager for OL Storage users
    • Users would see an “unspecified error” message and the application would often crash soon after.
  • Sales tax may now be collected on pay-per-return e-file fees
    • Due to recent changes related to the South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., Supreme Court decision, more states are collecting sales tax on services, which includes data processing/e-filing. If the Preparer filing the return resides in one of those state, you will see sales tax included in your pay-per-return e-file fees.

You may also want to ensure the “If already connected to the internet, automatically check for updates on program startup” checkbox is checked in the Tools –> Options menu. In addition, you can check for updates at any time by clicking the Online –> Check for Updates menu.
