TaxAct will be performing scheduled maintenance for Client Xchange on the following day: Wednesday, April 22, 2020, from 6 - 8 AM Central Time During this maintenance, your clients will not be able to access the Client Xchange portal, MyTaxDocs.com. This update includes: Client sign in now requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) by mobile phone number verification code or authentication app (such as Google Authenticator). Tax Day now July 15: Treasury, IRS extend filing deadline and federal tax payments regardless of amount owed

The Treasury Department and IRS announced that the federal income tax filing due date is automatically extended from April 15, 2020, to July 15, 2020. Taxpayers can also defer federal income tax payments due on April 15, 2020, to July 15, 2020, without penalties and interest, regardless of the amount owed.
