Republic Bank “Missing RBIN” Alert Error
Republic Bank & Trust recently notified us of an issue with their validation on RBINs that is causing an "Error or Omission: Republic Bank - Missing RBIN" alert to appear inadvertently during the e-filing steps. We expect to release an update for version 1.01 on 1/6/2020 to allow valid RBINs to pass this check and proceed through the filing steps. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Credit and Debit Card Payment Submissions Through TaxAct Professional
It has come to our attention that some of our Tax Professionals may be experiencing issues with Value Payment Systems (VPS) within TaxAct® 2018 Professional.
Do not select the "Pay Now" option within TaxAct Professional, as these payments will not be processed completely even if you see a hold placed on credit or debit card. This hold may be in place for up to eight days.
To pay a client's balance due using a credit or debit card:

TaxAct Professional Support hours have been extended for the weekend of February 2-3. The hours are as follows (Central Time):
Saturday, February 2, 9 am - 8 pm
Sunday, February 3, 10 am – 8 pm
As a reminder, the IRS began processing all individual returns on Monday, January 28. Although the IRS is accepting both electronic and paper tax returns, it is expected that paper returns will begin processing later in mid-February as the IRS continues to update their systems. The IRS strongly encourages people to file their tax returns electronically for faster refunds.

It has come to our attention that some TaxAct Professional customers who are awaiting EFIN verification from TaxAct and originally provided us with an EFIN Acceptance Letter from the IRS are seeing delays in their EFIN verification.
When we receive an EFIN Acceptance Letter for verification purposes, we use the IRS ERO locator database to verify certain information in the Acceptance Letter to confirm the active status of your EFIN.
